Queens Manor Care Home is located on Queensferry Road, around a 20-minute drive from the city centre. The building is designed to provide high-quality residential care to older people, including individuals living with dementia.

The positioning of the two-storey building was crucial in allowing the client to make full use of the site. We utilised a bespoke edge protection system developed for use with the Metframe system by Veitchi, eliminating the need for external scaffold. This allowed the structure to be taken closer to the site boundary and maximised the footprint of the building.

Due to the busy road and restrictions on site access we carefully sequenced “just in time” deliveries and scheduled two cranes for frame erection, resulting in a short 10 week programme on a congested site.
