A two-storey rooftop extension provided a further 14 rooms for Hampton by Hilton hotel in Glasgow’s city centre. Sometimes smaller jobs can be equally challenging and rewarding and although this was a short programme it was an interesting project. A level base was required for the new light steel frame structure and due to a variety of historic alterations and repairs at roof level a ring beam was utilised to achieve the required level.
